I am finally able and epically proud to announce - I am the Music Director and Arranger for Robert Wilson's new production, Sandman, an adaptation of ETA Hoffmann's classic tale. I am working, once again, with the ultra-talented Anna Calvi, who has written an all new suite of incredible songs.
I am back in Europe playing a few shows with string quartet (dates below), and also final rehearsals for a new production I scored by Theater Basel. — an adaptation of the beloved children’s classic by Erich Kästner — Das Fliegende Klassenzimmer (The Flying Classroom).
The play premieres December 1st, and will run through January 15th, so if you happen to be in and around Basel, Switzerland at that time, come check it out
It is my absolute pleasure to present to you the premiere of the video for “Cistern,” brought to you by the folks at the Observer.
As part of the Cistern project, I have also been working on a long form video for the entire record comprised of eight separate videos that tie together seamlessly, and are edited into one epic journey for the title-track "Cistern."
It's here! Cistern is officially out this Friday, July 15th. I couldn't be more excited! This has been quite a long time coming, and I cannot wait to share it with all of you. In fact, the lovely folks at Brooklyn Vegan are streaming the entire album now here! Get to it - Ghostbusters can wait!
I came across Prince’s music under strange circumstances. I was a teenager living on a small sailboat traveling all around the world with my family. I was often cut off from any people besides my parents for a month at a time. For some that would be a nightmare, but for me it was alright.
I am so extremely pleased to announce that my new record Cistern will be coming out July 15th on The Leaf Label. It has been an epic journey getting this from my brain to your ears, and I could not be more pleased with how it turned out.
This week I am in New York City having a wild and rockin' time! It started with a completely slamming evening of music at City Winery! I put together a wonderful string quartet for the evening, who were THE BAND: no drums, no piano, no guitars (for the most part).
I am hitting the road with Mirah! We have a short tour lined up for the East Coast, and I am super excited to get out and play a bunch of shows again. It has been far too long!
